Pastor Mike came to Bethel BIC in May of 2018. He has been in the Brethren in Christ Church for 32 years. The last 24 years he was pastor at the Highland Park Community Church in Dublin Virginia. Pattie is his wife and she is the primary piano player at the church. They have three grown children, Sarah, Bethany and Jordan.
Yvette Leonard – Church Secretary – y.leonard.bethelbic@gmail.com
Yvette was born and raised in the Bethel BIC Church and is the granddaughter of our founding family. She has served the church for almost 30 years in many capacities including the Secretary of the Southeast Regional Conference. Once again she is serving at the BOD Secretary, and the children’s church and Sunday School coordinator.
Mary Allison – Treasurer
Mary is a housewife who loves to decorate the church. She worked in banking for three years. Married to Chad, he was raised in the Bethel BIC Church and she has two children Jared and Josie!
Bobby Leonard – Building Committee
Bobby has been with the church almost 40 years. Having served in just about every office. He was the Building Committee Chairman during the design and construction of our current building and serves a primary role in the care and upkeep of our building.
Jody Marshall – Member at Large
Jody has been with the Bethel BIC Congregation for about 12 years. He has served previously on the BOD and as a Trustee. He currently serves as our sound and projection technician. He has worked at Salem Stone for about 20 years. He is married to Danette and has two children Nathan and Lily.
Phill Madison – Bishop’s Appointee
Phill is current the pastor of the Highland Park Community Church in Dublin Virginia. He was the pastor of the Bethel Church from 2010 to 2014. He brings a wealth of experience to our Board of Directors.
Lynn White – Bishop’s Appointee
Lynn has been on the Board of the Highland Park Community Church for more than 30 years. He has been the chairman, a Deacon and is currently the treasurer of his church.
Steve Guthrie – Bishop’s Appointee
Steve is retired after 45 years in the wholesale Millwork industry. He is a 20 year member of the Community of Faith BIC Church in Roanoke. He has served as a Trustee and a Board member of the church.
